Forthcoming budget session: Nine political parties to meet on Feb 9

JD(S) National President H D Devegowda has said, nine political parties including CPI(M), CPI(I), Telugu Desam and Janata Dal (Secular) will meet on February nine to decide their strategy during the forthcoming budget session in Parliament. Talking to newsmen in Bangalore, former Prime Minister Devegowda said the meet will also discuss the price rise issue. He said the JD(S) will join the nation-wide protest organised by Left parties against UPA government's economic policies which had led to increase in the prices of all essential commodities. CPI (M) State secretariat member Nagaraj, who was also present, blamed both the State and the Centre for steep price rise in the essential commodities, as no action was being taken against the hoarders. Representatives from CPI and Forward Bloc were also present at the press conference.
