A former US National Guard soldier, convicted of plotting to aid the Islamic State terror group, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.<br/><br/>Mohamed Jalloh, a naturalised US citizen, was pleaded guilty in October last year of having provided material support to the terror outfit. <br/><br/>He told investigators that he had also tried to travel to Libya and considered a shooting attack against US soldiers.<br/><br/>In September, another soldier was sentenced for 30 years for supporting the group and planning an attack against soldiers at the Joliet Armory in Illinois.
