Former Central Minister, 5 times MP from Assam Mr Bijoy Krishna Handique passed away today at around 12'40 noon at the age of 84. He was admitted at hospital yesterday evening at Jorhat, Assam due to kidney problem. He held various portfolio including Defence, Mines, Chemical, DONER etc in two terms at the Union government. He also represented Assam Assembly once.<br/><br/>Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi condoled the demise of the former leader.
