Former Union Minister and an independent member of parliament representing Banka constituency of Bihar, Digvijay Singh, passed away on Thursday morning. <br/><br/>The 55 year old leader died of heart attack in London where he was being treated for some time. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. He was appointed as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in the NDA regime when he was in JD (U). <br/><br/>Earlier, he was a minister of state in the Chandrashekhar government also. DIgvijay SIngh was elected to Lok Sabha thrice, in 1998, 1999 and 2009. He also became Rajya Sabha MP in 1990 and 2004.<br/><br/>Lok Sabha Speaker Ms.Meira Kumar, several Union MInisters and senior political leaders have condoled the death of Digvijay Singh.
