<span style="color: #222222;">Former Union Minister Buta Singh passed away at the All India Institute of Medical&nbsp; Sciences in New Delhi today. He was 86.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The senior leader was in a coma since October last year after he suffered a brain hemorrhage.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha eight-times. He served as Union Home Minister, Minister for Agriculture,&nbsp; Parliamentary Affairs, Civil Supplies, Housing, Shipping, Transport and Sports. He also served as the Governor of Bihar and Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes. &nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President, Vice President and Prime Minister have expressed grief on his demise.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind said, in the passing of Buta Singh, the country has lost one of the longest serving parliamentarians with rich administrative experience.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The President said, he championed the cause of the oppressed and marginalized.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said, he was an able administrator and parliamentarian.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Buta Singh Ji was an experienced administrator and effective voice for the welfare of the poor as well as downtrodden.</span><br />'' &nbsp;<br />
