Former Union Minister Buta Singh passes away

<span style="color: #222222;">Former Union Minister Buta Singh passed away at the All India Institute of Medical  Sciences in New Delhi today. He was 86. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The senior leader was in a coma since October last year after he suffered a brain hemorrhage. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Singh was elected to the Lok Sabha eight-times. He served as Union Home Minister, Minister for Agriculture,  Parliamentary Affairs, Civil Supplies, Housing, Shipping, Transport and Sports. He also served as the Governor of Bihar and Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes.  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President, Vice President and Prime Minister have expressed grief on his demise.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind said, in the passing of Buta Singh, the country has lost one of the longest serving parliamentarians with rich administrative experience. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The President said, he championed the cause of the oppressed and marginalized.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said, he was an able administrator and parliamentarian.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Buta Singh Ji was an experienced administrator and effective voice for the welfare of the poor as well as downtrodden.</span><br />''  <br />
