Former SP leaders Amar Singh & Jaya Prada join Ajit Singh's RLD

Former Samajwadi Party leaders Amar Singh and Jaya Prada have joined Ajit Singh's Rashtriya Lok Dal, RLD, ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Ajit Singh said the party will contest from eight Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh and his party will remain part of the Congress-led UPA and will not join NDA.

Amar Singh and Jaya Prada were expelled from the Samajwadi Party in 2010 for anti-party activities.

RLD chief also said Amar Singh is likely to contest from Fatehpur Lok Sabha seat while Jaya Prada may fight from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. They were expelled from the Samajwadi Party in 2010 for anti-party activities.
