Former Sikkim Minister Mr. Padam Lall Gurung has been acquitted of all the charges of corruption by the Sikkim High Court. He had been convicted by the Special Designated Prevention of Corruption Court in Gangtok in October in 2008. A single bench of the High Court headed by Mr.Justice S P Wangdi observed that the trial court completely overlooked the evidence of the witnesses and summarily rejected the claim of the appellant.
