Former SAD stalwart’s death: Enquiry report be made public, says Manpreet

In Punjab, rebel SAD leader, Manpreet Badal said that the enquiry report of the death of former stalwart of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), Capt Kanwaljit Singh must be made public. Speaking to media in Jalandhar on Tuesday, the former finance minister, Badal said that the details of the report of the death of Capt Kanwaljit Singh, who died in a road accident near Kharar in March, 2009, must come out. Refuting charges of SAD that he is an agent of Congress, Manpreet said that he is an agent of change and not of any political party.Meanwhile, SAD leader, Harjinder Singh Sandal, a close confidant of former cooperation minister, Capt Kanwaljit Singh, has joined the ‘Jago Punjab Yatra’ of Manpreet Badal by leaving the party, at Jalandhar on Tuesday. Whereas, a senior Akali leader and former MP, Rajya Sabha, Varinder Singh Bajwa has also joined Manpreet at Hoshiarpur.
