Former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam has called for a second green revolution in India to achieve higher productivity by 2020. He asked scientists to help farmers to achieve higher productivity. He said this is possible by adopting multi-cropping, scientific farming, drip irrigation and other techniques.

Dr. Kalam was speaking on the sidelines of Birth Centenary celebrations of Dr. S. W. Mensinkai at Dharwad on Saturday. The function was organised by the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.
