Kerala Congress-M leader and former MLA Eapen Varghese, died at a private hospital in Kochi this morning. He was 79. He was suffering from liver cancer. A two time MLA, Eapen Varghese represented the Palluruthy and Ranni constituencies in the state assembly.He was the Working Chairman of the Kerala Congress-Joseph faction and later switched over to the Kerala Congress-Secular headed by P C George. With the merger of the two parties with the Kerala Congress -M, Eapen Varghese was appointed as the coordination committee member of the party.
