&nbsp;Former Maldives Vice President Ahmad Adeeb, who has reached Thutthukkudi, Tamilnadu, today, onboard a small pilot boat, is being intensely questioned by Coast Guard and Intelligence officials. Adeeb reached Thuthukkudi along with eight employees of the pilot boat that had gone to Maldives with a load of granite.<br />'' <br />'' Information was received by the port authorities that there was an extra person aboard the boat on its return to Thuthukkudi. Coast Guard authorities, acting upon the information, directed the boat to the old Thuthukkudi harbor.<br />'' <br />'' Adeeb had been sworn in as the fifth Vice President of Maldives in 2015. On 24 October 2015, it was announced that Adeeb had been arrested by Maldives police in connection with a bomb attack which had targeted the then Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen. Addeeb had come out of jail last May, after completing his term.<br />'' &nbsp;
