Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kailash Joshi has passed away at the age of 91. He died at a private hospital in Bhopal today, after a prolonged illness.<br />'' <br />'' The former CM is survived by three sons and three daughters. His wife died a few months back. As per the information, the last rites will be performed on Monday at his ancestral town Hatpipalya in Dewas district.<br />'' <br />'' Born on July 14, 1929, Joshi, who was called as the 'saint of politics', served as the state's chief minister from 1977 to 1978. He was MLA for eight terms and also served as member of both the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.<br />'' <br />'' President Ram Nath Kovind condoled the death of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kailash Chandra Joshi.<br />'' <br />'' In a tweet, he said a political worker, leader and remarkable legislator, Mr Josh will be remembered for his work for the development and growth of Madhya Pradesh and its people.<br />'' <br />'' The President said Joshi's demise leaves a huge voice in our public life.<br />'' <br />'' Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the death of senior BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kailash Chandra Joshi.<br />'' <br />'' In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Joshi was a stalwart, who made a strong contribution to the growth of Madhya Pradesh.
