Former Karnataka minister, K H Ranganath, died in Bangalore today in a private hospital after a brief illness. He was 86 and is survived by two sons and four daughters.Ranganath was a six term MLA from Hiriyur Assembly constituency in Chitradurga district, and was also a Lok Sabha member from Chitradurga during 1984-89. He was also the Speaker of Karnataka state assembly. The cremation will take place tomorrow in his home town Hiriyur.
