Former K'taka CM Yeddyurappa gets bail in a corruption case

Karnataka High Court today granted bail to former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in a corruption case. Our correspondent reports that the High Court today heard Yeddyurappa's application for bail and hearing is on, on another application for anticipatory bail.

Out of five complaints in the Lokayukta Court, on the land denotification scam, Yeddyurappa was in judicial custody in two of the cases. Today he got bail in both these cases.Yeddyurappa has also gone on appeal for anticipatory bail in the other three cases.

The complainant had allleged that Yedurappa, during his tenure as Chief Minister, had denotified Bangalore Development Authority land, to benefit the trust and establishments run by his sons and son in law.
