In Karnataka, former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has deferred his decision to quit BJP. Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru yesterday, Yeddyurappa said, he has postponed his decision owing to an appeal made by senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley. He demanded for Legislative party meeting to discuss problems faced by legislators loyal to him. Yeddyurappa claimed the support of 70 legislators and 15 MPs and asked BJP national leaders to decide whether the party wants him or not. He accused BJP General Secretary Ananth Kumar, State party President K S Eeshwarappa and Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda of a consiparacy to tarnish his image and expel him from the party. He also blamed them for the present crisis.
