Stream of mourners are thronging the residence of senior most congress leader K Karunakaran in Thiruvananthapuram since last night to pay their homage. The 93-year old former chief minister of Kerala Karunakaran popularily called as 'leader' died at a private hospital last evening after a prolonged illness. AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister P Chidabaram are scheduled to pay their homage at KPCC head-quarters where the body would kept for the public to pay respect. Later, the body of Karunakaran would be kept at the government secretariat Dubar Hall before the start funeral procession to Thrissur, where it would be cremated with full state honours on Saturday. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to attend the funeral.
