The funeral of senior congress leader K. Karunakaran will be held at Thrissur in Kerala with full state honours on Saturday. At present thousands of party workers and general public are paying last respect to the former chief minister of Kerala at Thiruvananthapuram. Congress President Sonia Gandhi and a galaxy of central Ministers including Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee are reaching Thiruvananthapuram Friday morning to pay last respect to the departed soul. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will be attending the funeral of the vetaran leader on Saturday. AIR correspondent reports, since last evening people from all walks of life are thronging the residence of their dear leader, K Karunakaran to pay last repect to the towering leader of Congress Party. After paying last respect at the KPCC headquarters, K. Karunakaran's body will be taken to the State secretariat. The funeral procession will proceed from Thiruvananthapuram to Thrissur by Friday after noon. For the general public and thousands of congress party men the reality is yet to sink in that their dear leader is no more.
