Former captain of the Indian cricket team Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi passed away last evening following a prolonged illness in New Delhi. He was 70. Pataudi was suffering from lung disease and was admitted to Gangaram Hospital last week. AIR correspondent reports that Pataudi inspired generations of players in the country. The President Mrs Pratibha Devi Singh Patil, Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Dr. Mnamohan Singh has condoled the death of legendary cricketer.
