Former Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar joins BJP

Former Haryana Congress President Dr Ashok Tanwar along with his supporters today joined BJP in the presence of Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh and BJP Haryana President Nayab Singh Saini at New Delhi on Saturday. Mr Tanwar had resigned from the post of Chairman of Haryana Campaign Committee and Primary Membership of Aam Aadmi Party yesterday.<br />''<br />''Tanwar quit the Congress in 2019 and joined the AAP in 2022. In between, the former Lok Sabha MP had floated his party and even joined the Trinamool Congress for a brief period. Ashok Tanwar is also former Member of Parliament from Sirsa and Secretary, All India Congress Committee. He is also a former president of Indian Youth Congress and National Student Union of India. <br />''<br />''After joining the BJP, Dr Tanwar said that he is impressed with the initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take the country at the top, so he decided to join the BJP. <br />''<br />''According to the reports, he was miffed with AAP's partnership with Congress under I.N.D.I.A. setup.<br />''<br />''Dr Tanwar reportedly wrote a letter to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal expressing his reservation on AAP's alignment with the Indian National Congress.
