Former Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar has resigned from the primary membership of the party.<br />'' <br />'' In his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Tanwar said,  Congress is going through an existential crisis, not because of its political opponents, but because of serious internal contradictions. <br />'' <br />'' Tanwar said, hard-working Congress workers, from non-political and humble families are no longer valued in the party, money blackmail and pressure tactics seem to work.<br />'' <br />'' Tanwar said, Congress has drifted away from its basic principles and ideology, now, the Congress is the anti-thesis of democracy, plagued by feudal attitudes and medieval conspiracies. His decision came after he protested outside party president Sonia Gandhi's residence with his supporters. <br />''
