<span style="color: #222222;">Former Governor of Bihar and Jharkhand M Rama Jois who had served as the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court has passed away after prolonged illness in Bengaluru today morning. He was 89 years old. Retired Justice Rama Jois had also served as a Rajya Sabha member. During the Emergency he was imprisoned at Bengaluru along with Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A noted jurist, he wrote several books on ancient Indian law, Habeas Corpus law, Raja Dharma and Bharathiya way to lead purposeful life. Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and several other dignitaries in the state have expressed condolences on the demise of the former Chief Justice.<br />''<br />''Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences at the demise of Retired Justice M Rama Jois. Venkaiah Naidu expressed his condolences at the demise of noted jurist, former governor &amp; MP, retired Justice Rama Jois.
