Former Goa minister Pacheco moves Bombay HC for bail

Failing to get respite from a sessions court, former Goa minister Fransisco Pacheco, accused in the death of his close friend Nadia Torrado, today moved the Bombay High Court with his bail plea.<br/><br/>Pacheco's lawyer Amit Palekar said the application moved before the Panaji bench of the high court is likely to be heard tomorrow.<br/><br/>Pacheco is currently in police lock up in connection with the death of Nadia, who died after allegedly consuming poison on May 30 in Chennai.<br/><br/>Earlier this week, the sessions court in Margao had rejected the bail plea filed by Pacheco with the judge observing that there was no change in circumstances from the time Supreme Court had rejected his anticipatory bail petition.<br/><br/>The NCP legislator had surrendered before the court on July 3, after being in hiding for almost a month. <br/><br/>Crime Branch had arrested him on July 8, when he was discharged from hospital.
