Former Tamil Nadu Transport Minister and Trichy District DMK Secretary K N Nehru has been arrested early on Thursday morning from Tiruchirapalli for land grabbing charges. He has been remanded to 15 days judicial custody and is being taken to Cuddalore Central Prison. Speaking to reporters Nehru said that he has been charged by Dr Srinivasan with land grabbing in connection with the construction of DMK district headquarters Kalaignar Arivalayam.Former MLA Anbil Periasamy and other party functionaries were also arrested by Police on these charges.
