<span style="color: #222222;">Former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal and Senior leader of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Bharat Mohan Adhikari passed away last night. He was 83. Adhikari was admitted to a hospital in Kathmandu following lung and chest complications. Mr Adhikari was very popular among the common people for introducing &quot;Aafno Gaun Aafai Banau&quot;, a development programme aimed at developing villages across the country by giving them the authority to select local projects on their own. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The scheme was launched in 1995 when he was Finance Minister in the Manmohan Adhikari government.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister and NCP Co- Chair KP Sharma Oli has expressed condolences on the demise of Mr Adhikari. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Former Prime Minister and Co-Chairman of NCP Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has also expressed his condolences.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal will be cremated in Kathmandu today.</span><br />'' &nbsp;<br />
