Mr. N.Vittal, former CVC inaugurated the two day Orientation Workshop for Part Time Correspondents of Prasar Bharathi in Chennai today. In his inaugural address he said that with the effective functioning of institutions like Judiciary, Election Commission, CAG and CVC the corruption spreading in our country can be controlled. Mr. Praveen Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer, Tamil Nadu in his address told that the main aim of election commission is to increase the voting percentage to 80 percent in this coming assembly election in TamilNadu. Mr. G.Mohanthy, DG News AIR in his felicitation address told that the main purpose of conducting this workshop is to sharpen the efficiency of PTC’s. Mrs. Veena Jain, ADG NEWs AIR set the target of the workshop in the inaugural function. 28 PTC’s from Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry region are participating in this workshop.
