In West Bengal, former CPI(M) Minister and MLA Sushanto Ghosh was arrested on charges of recovery of Skeleton of some Trinamul Congress workers at Garbeta in West Midapur district. A local court of Midnapur district has remanded Ghosh for seven days CID custody on Thursday night. Seven skeletons of Trinamul Congress supporters were recovered from Ghosh's ancestral house at Garbeta. FIR was filed against 40 CPI(M) leaders and workers including Ghosh after recovery of skeletons on 4th of June, this year. A Trinamool Congress supporters were abducted and murdered in September 2002. Ghosh has been brought to Kolkata for further interrogation. The CPI(M) has condemned the arrest and termed it as political vindictiveness after party's debacle in the assembly elections in the state.
