<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, former Congress legislator Rupjyoti Kurmi has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. The four-term MLA joined the  party in presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Gerukamukh today. Mr. Kurmi, who represented the Mariani Assembly Constituency, resigned from his seat recently. The Chief Minister said that the BJP will benefit from his experience.</span><br />
