Former Congress leader and Navodhana Vedi President M A John died at Kuriyanad in Kottayam district this morning. He was 72. One of the founding leaders of Kerala Students Union, M A John entered the state politics through student union activities. He left the Congress along with the late K Karunakaran to form the Democratic Indira Congress[DIC], which he served for some time.
