Former Union Minister and Congress leader D Purandeswari today joined BJP. Her induction in BJP came in a meeting with party President Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. She also met senior party leaders L K Advani and Sushma Swaraj. Purandeswari is the daughter of TDP founder and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.

Bihar JD(U) MP Sushil Kumar Singh also joined BJP today.

Meanwhile, National People's Party leader P A Sangma and his daughter and MP Agatha Sangma also met BJP president in New Delhi to discuss the poll alliance issue. Talking to reporters after the meeting Sangma said, the final decision on the seat sharing for polls in the eastern region will be taken tomorrow.
