Former Chief Justice of India Justice Adarsh Sein Anand passed away today after prolonged illness. He was the 29th Chief Justice of India from October 1998 to October 2001. <br/><br/>He also served as the Chairman of National Human Rights Commission from February 2003 to April 2007. <br/><br/>President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad have expressed grief on passing away of Justice Anand.
