Former UP Minister and BSP leader Babu Singh Khushwaha joined BJP on Tuesday. Briefing reporters in New Delhi after the induction, senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar said that the party's prospects in the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, will improve after Khushwaha's entry into the BJP. Mr. Khushwaha who was a close aide of UP Chief Minister Mayawati, was expelled from the BSP for alleged corruption charges. His role is being investigated by the CBI in the National Rural Health Mission scam in the state.
