Former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds dies in road accident

Former Australia cricketer Andrew Symonds died in a car crash last night. Symonds was the sole passenger in the crash just outside of Townsville in his home state of Queensland. He died on the spot.

Police said, emergency services attempted to revive the 46-year-old Symonds but he died of his injuries.

Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has expressed grief on the demise of former Australian Cricketer Andrew Symonds.

In a tweet, Mr Thakur said,  it is extremely tragic news. Gone too soon. He said, Andrew Symonds had an illustrious career and enthralled fans across the world. Mr Thakur said, he will missed. He expressed condolences to his family and friends.
