The former Army Chief of Sri Lanka General Sarath Fonseka says that the killings of surrendering Tamil Tiger leaders took place on the orders of the Defence Secretary G. Rajapaksa. In an interview to Lankan Weekly 'The Sunday Leader' General Fonseka said that no information was communicated to him in the final days of the war that three key LTTE leaders opted to surrender.<br/> <br/>The Sri Lankan government has, however, denied the charge. At a hurriedly convened news conference in Colombo, the government said that it was examining the contents of the interview for possible legal action.<br/><br/><br/>
