Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said a formal suspension of operation between the Government and the proscribed ULFA will be signed by next month. Talking to newsmen in Guwahati on Friday, Mr Gogoi said the banned outfit led by its ‘chairman’ Arabinda Rajkhowa has submitted the first charter of demands to the Centre last month. The outfit has already announced unilateral indefinite ceasefire to put forward the peace process. On extradition of ULFA ‘general secretary’ Anup Chetia from Bangladesh , the Chief Minister said the Centre has taken up the matter with the neighbouring country. Mr. Gogoi said a response from Bangladesh was, however, awaited.
