Foreigners among 12 dead in Kabul suicide attack;reprisal for anti-Islam film say militants

The number of casualties in the suicide attack in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul this morning has gone up to 12. Police said the suicide bomber rammed his car filled with explosives into a mini van carrying workers of a private aviation company near Kabul international Airport. According to the police sources the dead include nine foreigners and three Afghans. Nationalities of the foreigners killed in the suicide blast are not known immediately. Meanwhile media reports said a local militant Islamist group has claimed responsibility for the attack in reprisal for an anti-Islam film.
Demonstrations against the anti-Islam film are continuing in Afghanistan. Today the demonstrators threw stones at police in northern Kunduz city of Afghanistan. A similar protest demonstration in Kabul yesterday took violent turn and nearly 50 policemen were injured.
