Foreign tourists arrival in India has gone up by 12.6 per cent. An official release, says, 3.69 lakh foreign tourists came to India in September this year as compared to 3.28 lakhs during the same period in 2009. However, September 2009 had registered a negative growth of 4.1 per cent September 2009 over September 2008.Foreign exchange earnings from tourism had also gone up by 23.2 percent during the month netting 4,678 crore rupees against 3,798 crores in September 2009.
