Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar called on Maldivian Vice President Ahmed Adeeb in Male yesterday and held wide-ranging discussions on regional and bilateral issues. Mr Jaishankar reached Maldives' capital Male yesterday on a two day visit as a part of his SAARC Yatra programme which seeks to ensure better understanding between the SAARC nations and for reviewing regional and bilateral cooperation.<br/><br/> Foreign Secretary will call on President Abdulla Yameen today. He will also hold talks on a host of issues with his counterpart Dr Ali Naseer. Mr Jaishankar has already visited Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal earlier this year as part of his SAARC tour.
