Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar will call on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and meet former President Chandrika Kumaratunga and Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Tamil leader R Sampanthan in Colombo today.Earlier yesterday, Mr Jaishankar held extensive dialogue with Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera, Development Strategy and International Trade Minister Malik Samarwickrema and called on Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. <br/> <br/>During the banquet meeting of Foreign Secretary Mr S Jaishankar with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera last evening, all Indian projects in Sri Lanka were reviewed. Groundwork was also done on the Joint Commission meeting that is scheduled to be held next month in Colombo. <br/><br/>Mr. Jaishankar had called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday and will call on President Maithripala Sirisena today. He will meet former president Chandrika Kumartunga, who is playing a key role in reconciliation efforts in the country. He will also meet Tamil National Alliance chief and leader of Opposition, Mr. R. Sampanthan before heading back to India this afternoon.
