Foreign interventions hampered formation of Iraqi Govt: Issawi

Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Rafie al- Issawi on Wednesday said foreign interventions hampered the formation of a new Iraqi government nearly seven months after the March elections. At a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, the visiting Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister said the formation of the government was Iraq's domestic issue but the obstacles to the task came from outside of Iraq. Meanwhile, the Turkish Foreign Minister said Turkey was concerned over the failure to set up a new government in Iraq and added that the absence of a strong and stable Iraqi government negatively affected Turkey's struggle against terrorism.
