In Assam, security forces were apprehended two United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) cadres from Fakiragram in Kokrajhar district on Friday. Acting on a tip off, the Police and the Army launched a joint operation in the area and managed to arrest the ultras.The Police said the militants, identified as Biju Roy and Mithul Ray of Matiatoli in Dhubri district, were trained in ULFA camps in Bangladesh. The Security forces recovered arm and ammunitions and one magazine and a mobile hand set from the possession of the militants. The two ULFA activists were on a mission to carry out subversive activities in Kokrajhar district ahead of its raising day today.Meanwhile, a security alert has been sounded across the State to prevent any subversive activities by the ULFA activists ahead of its raising day.
