Government today informed Rajya Sabha that forces are exposed to comprehensive training in counter insurgency operations before their posting in such areas. In a written reply to the House, the Defence Minister Mr. A.K. Antony said that they are also provided requisite equipment before their deployment. He said till July this year, 22 armymen have lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir and two in Assam.
