Forces continue air strikes on Gaddafi’s military assets

International forces have kept up the pressure on the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi with another night of air strikes on his military assets and infrastructure. Reports have spoken of explosions in an eastern suburb of Tripoli today. War planes have also targeted pro-Gaddafi forces in the strategic eastern town of Ajdabiya where the rebels are trying to regain control. The Pentagon says that despite having virtually no air defence is left, Col. Gaddafi's forces still pose a threat. General Carter Ham, the Commander of the US Army Africa Command said he expected the military operation to be over very soon.
