Forced closure of Bali Int'l Airport delays VP Ansari's visit to Brunei by a day

Vice President Hamid Ansari whose departure to Brunei was delayed due to forced closure of the Bali airport in Indonesia, is most likely to leave for Bandar Seri Begawan tomorrow morning. The volcanic ash from an eruption at Mount Barujari, east of the resort island, caused shutting down of the airport. Md Ansari who is on a five day two nation visit to Indonesia and Brunei had reached Bali yesterday and was scheduled to depart this afternoon. <br/><br/>A top official from the Vice President secretariat said that the visit of Brunei by Md Ansari stands as of now. He said, the Vice President will leave Bali as quickly as possible whenever the situation allows it. The airport authorities held a review meeting this evening and expressed hope that the operation will be resumed by tomorrow morning. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, Gangster Chhota Rajan continued to be in detention of Bali police. He is expected to be taken back to India tomorrow after air services resume. Indian agencies which arrived here on Sunday, have completed all formalities for his deportation.
