For friendly relations Pak should dismantle terror infrastructure: India

India on Tuesday said that it is ready to go more than half way to normalise relations with Pakistan if Islamabad is more sensitive towards New Delhi's core concerns on terrorism. Interacting with the foreign journalists in New Delhi, the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna said that while India wants friendly relations with Pakistan, Islamabad has to fulfill its assurances on dismantling terror infrastructure operating from its soil for having fruitful talks. The Foreign Secretaries of the two countries are likely to meet on the sidelines of SAARC Committee meeting in Thimpu in Bhutan on the 6th and 7th of next month. Mr. Krishna said that Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani had agreed, during their meeting in Thimpu last year, that it was necessary to bridge the trust deficit between the two countries. It was after that the External Affairs Minister had visited Islamabad in July last.
