Mohemmadan Sporting won the 126th Durand Cup Football tournament battling it out with ONGC in the final clash at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi yesterday. They have lifted the cup after 73 years having won it back in 1940. In the 35th minute of the game Tolgay scored the first goal for Sporting with the passing assist from forward Ajay Singh. The next goal was also scored by Tolgay in the 45th minute. Mohaamedan Sporting came back to the hut at half time with a 2-nil lead. In the latter half ONGC came back storngly. Leavono Fernendes scored in the 55th minute with a header to make the score 2-1. But Sporting maintained its lead and won the cup.
