Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has announced his retirement from the world of football. The 36-year-old Englishman, who made 676 appearances for Manchester United, said that it was the right time for him to stop playing. Scholes however said that he will continue in the club's coaching staff. He also paid tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson calling him a great manager. The midfielder, who played his last match for the club against Barcelona on Saturday, had won 10 Premier League titles as well as two Champions Leagues and the FA Cup three times in a career spent entirely at Manchester United.
