Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said that a fool-proof security system will be put in place for the 12th South Asian Games in Guwahati starting from Friday. In a statement yesterday, Mr Gogoi said, as far as infrastructural preparedness is concerned, finishing touches are being given and if there is any deficiency, last minute steps are being taken to plug them. The Chief Minister's statement came following a review meeting he had with army, police, para-military forces, intelligence agencies and sports administrators to discuss preparations including security.
