In Punjab, fool proof arrangements for the counting of votes on March 6 have been made for all the 117 assembly segments. A spokesman of election office said that the counting of votes will commence at 08.00 AM and the counting staff had been directed to report for counting duty at 05.00AM sharp at respective Deputy Commissioner offices from they will be taken to respective counting centers on time. There would be tight security outside all counting centres. The March 6 will remain dry day to maintain law and order.He said that the counting staff had been prohibited to take vehicles, mobile phones, inflammable goods or any other article in the counting centres. The micro observers have been deployed at all counting centers. Fourteen tables will be installed in each counting centre to be monitored by a counting supervisor, a counting assistant and a micro observer. Use of mobile phones and cameras for photography had been strictly banned.
