Foodgrains for 3-months can be lifted by States, UTs on credit from FCI: Fin Min

<span style="color: #222222;">Department of Expenditure under Ministry of Finance has agreed to the Food and Public Distribution Department's proposal that foodgrains for three months can be lifted by States and Union Territories on credit from Food Corporation of India. This decision has been taken in order to ensure adequate supply of foodgrains to the public and financially assist the State Governments. In a tweet, Finance Minister's Office said, it will ensure that the States do not face any cash constraint in distributing food to those in need. </span><br />
