Minister of Food Processing Industry Mr. Subodhkant Sahay inaugurated in New Delhi today a food testing laboratory of the National Meat and Poultry Processing Board. This ultra-modern food testing facility will cater to the needs of the stake holders for the supply of quality and safe meat products. In view of the stringent quality control in international market the lab will ascertain good quality and safety of all such products by detecting toxins and microbes in food samples. Speaking to the media persons Mr. Sahay said, the issue of food adulteration needs to be addressed with exemplary punishment to those who are found guilty of food adulteration.
